Awkwafina was initially a American performer and rapper, performing sly tunes that dealt with issues such as racial and sexuality with a humorous twist. Prior to her move to Hollywood the singer could release a number of songs. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was from the trumpet. Later, she began the classical and hip-hop genres. In college, she studied journalism and women's studies. Then, she even had a short time studying Mandarin during her time in Beijing. It wasn't until she graduated that she begin to concentrate on music. After gaining viral fame on the Internet and her own track My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on the debut album Yellow Ranger. The album featured other popular hits, including the body positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC BitcheUSD. The track that was published specifically linked to The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her travel guide for 2015. Alongside being a published author, her other career was as a performer. In addition to early shows like Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies like Neighbors 2, Storks and Bad Rap. Her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP in Fina We Trust.
