Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980. She's an American actress and singer. Parents were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Bell was raised and born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen found her talent in entertainment from a young stage of her life. In 1992, she was awarded her first role at her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother at the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model in advertisements on television and newspapers. At this time she began taking private acting lessons. Bell played an uncredited part of Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band as well as the drama club. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the leading Dorothy part. Bell was then transferred into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell quit studying in the year 2001, and assumed the role of Becky, a character from Tom Sawyer. Bell made her debut film credit with Pootie Tang at the beginning of 2001. However, her scene cut, and her only appearance is in the credits at the end. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in the Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
